We rounded up 8 sweet spots to watch the fireworks pop off.
1. Front Street, Lahaina Fireworks Maui New Years
For straight-up iconic NYE views, you can’t beat Front Street in Lahaina. Join the throngs ogling the show from the famous row of palm trees lining the harbor.
Families stake out spots early with beach chairs and blankets.
Or post up at a restaurant patio along the water, like Kimo’s or Mala Ocean Tavern, for prime viewing.

3. Wailea Beach Resort

They launch fireworks from the beaches so you can take in all the sparkle and pop while strolling the stunning grounds. We’d recommend the Grand Wailea NYE gala – they spare no expense, transforming the resort into an extravagant party.
Put on your best dress or aloha shirt and enjoy roaming musicians, luxe bites and drinks, a champagne toast at midnight, photo ops, and more.
When the Fireworks Maui New Years start, head outside to “ooh” and “ahh” from the pool deck or find a blanket on the manicured grass.

4. Kapalua Bay

5. Kamaole Beach Parks
For NYE with the locals, Kamaole Beach Parks in Kihei offers community fireworks shows at Kamaole I, II, and III. Pack a picnic dinner, beach toys for the kids, games, and blankets.
Settle in on the sand and enjoy the laid-back vibe. As midnight nears, join the anticipation building in the crowd. Food trucks provide tasty snacks and shave ice to fuel the revelry.
When the colorful show lights up over the water, families cheer, pop streamers, and even run into the ocean! It’s not fancy, but it’s still so much fun.

6. Charley’s Restaurant, Paia
In funky Paia town, Charley’s Restaurant hosts an epic NYE bash with oceanfront seats to the fireworks. Dance the night away to live bands until it’s time for the main event.
Their outdoor garden has peek-a-boo views where you can sneak glimpses of the show along Baldwin Beach.
Make a reservation for the restaurant’s surf and turf dinner special – the filet and lobster tail hit the spot! Or come just for drinks on the patio after 10 p.m.

7. Fleetwood’s Rooftop, Lahaina

Most peeps flock to Wailea or Lahaina, leaving this south shore spot way less crowded.
Find a quiet place in the sand and watch waves crash onto the rocky shore as you wait for midnight. The sound of the ocean and calm bay will soothe your soul.
As the fireworks finale illuminates the night sky, breathe in the sea air and make a wish for 2024. Mother Nature provides her own show above humpback whales breaching offshore.
Maluaka offers peaceful Aloha vibes to welcome the new year under the stars.
